DRC: The DPRK announces his plan for 2011
In a book recently published by Editions L'Harmattan, * Gaspard Lons-Hubert Koko delivers his political agenda in the upcoming presidential elections in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The DPRK (Rally for Development and Peace in the Congo) wants above all to provide an alternative project to the outgoing president, Joseph Kabila. The program revolves around the return to peace and economic growth in the DRC. If the book is general and all, the book has the merit of a bedroom in black and white campaign program ... so we are still waiting for the projects of major opposition parties, as UDPS, MLC or Vital Kamerhe . AFRIKARABIA: What sets you apart from other candidates for president in 2011?
Gaspard Lons-Hubert Koko: It seems that this election will be won by someone who has another way of doing politics. I have started writing a book to say what I want to do in Congo and I hope that we discussed on the basis of ideas ... whether you agree or disagree with my program. We know how the elections happening in Congo is distributing T-shirts, money is giving beer election time and then comes back after 5 years to do the same thing the next election. I say to the Congolese people: this is my project to change your life. Whenever I put my project in black and white, I'm not afraid of criticism and we'll see well we can work with that. If I am elected, I want to be the president of peace ... a comprehensive peace.
